W’wave is a new cleantech venture that is developing Concentrated Wind Power Systems, a new renewable energy technology that will decisively support the world in its quest towards the clean energy transition.
Through our technology, wind farm operators can improve the wind flow in their wind farms so that their turbines can produce more clean energy at a more competitive cost of energy, increasing substantially their efficiency.
Our technology taps into a massive existing market (+300.000 installed wind turbines throughout the world) with great growth prospects: According to New Energy Outlook 2018 report (BNEF), until 2050 the world will invest 8.4 trillion dollars in new wind and solar power generation capacity.

The Centro de Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (CDTI), a public institution dependent of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation has granted funds from its NEOTEC’19 R&D initiative to W’wave, the pioneer in Concentrated Wind Power Systems to support the entry of our technology in the market. We are truly thankful for the trust of the CDTI to help us pursue the objective of making great products that optimize the wind resource in existing and future wind farms, increasing the output of its turbines and decreasing the global cost of clean energy.

W’wave has recently obtained financing from Empresa Nacional de Innovación SA (ENISA) to support its innovation efforts. ENISA is a Spanish state-owned company that falls under management of the General Directorate of Industry and SMEs, itself integrated into the Spanish Government’s Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism. It provides financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises that wish to bolster their innovative entrepreneurial endeavors.

W’wave and the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT) have initiated a collaboration to validate W’wave’s CWP systems in the Centro de Desarrollo de Energías Renovables (CEDER), located in the Altos de Lubia (Soria). During the next months, W’wave will be testing several of its product designs, increasing progressively their level of sophistication to achieve the most effective and cost-efficient product for our customers.
